Do keep in mind not all plastic dinnerware is Melmac, as this was the registered trade name of powders sold by American Cyanamid. Therefore the dishes you have, may simply be "melamine" and not "Melmac." More simply put, only manufacturers that bought the powders through Am Cy could use the trade name. Over time companies and manufacturers would shop around for the cheapest resins/powders.
